Lauren literally changed our lives. I originally spoke to her when my daughter was just 3 months old; but Lauren gently turned me away as she advised any sleep issues at that age were not behavioural so suggested some other avenues to try. However, a few months later we were no closer to sleeping through, so I contacted Lauren again (her approach on the initial call meant there was no doubt who I'd go back to if we still needed help) and we started working together. Without her support, we would never have realised that our daughter would so quickly - yet gently - learn that she could settle herself to sleep. This in itself has literally given me hours of my life back! I still have to pinch myself that I can now pop my baby down in her cot and leave the room, and she is asleep within minutes - gone are the days of pacing the room for 2-3 hours, waiting for her to fall asleep. We also understand a lot more about sleep cycles and the routine we have put in place has worked wonders - not only do we get a 10-11 hour stretch overnight, but also a guaranteed 2-3 hours worth of naps in the day. I no longer need to sleep when the baby sleeps, and our baby is never grumpy! Sleep advice books are all well and good, but it's nothing like having your own sleep consultant who works with you to tailor your needs as a family. We would not be in such a good place without Lauren's expert help. And, most notably, she went way above and beyond what we expected, giving us more time than we felt we paid for in order to get to our sleep solution. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Lauren for anything else in the future - she is so passionate about what she does that she makes us feel so at ease about asking for help. Thank you, Lauren!
Lauren was recommended to me by a friend. I was wary of going to a sleep consultant initially, I wasn't keen on the idea of sleep training and didn't feel comfortable leaving my baby to cry. After months of hourly wake ups however I was desperate! Lauren was amazing, she listened carefully and gave practical advice that made perfect sense. She always gave several options with the pros and cons of each and never suggested I do anything I didn't feel comfortable with. Her approach is baby-centric and her techniques are gentle, I never felt I was doing anything negative to my little boy. After months of feeling like a complete failure it was so great to have someone behind me giving me confidence and the whole way I felt like she was in it with me, giving over and above throughout. Lauren even had a call with me months after the initial programme when other problems arose. I can't recommend enough!
We had been struggling with early wakings and short naps with my now 18-month old when we enlisted Lauren's support. She had never been great at napping but we had successfully managed to get her into a good nighttime routine between the ages of 6-12 months but then our luck was out!! Lauren was helpful, kind and really listened to us about what we felt the issues were with our daughter. She encouraged a wide-ranging view of the difficulties and encouraged us to seek further support from our GP about reflux. Lauren seemed to understand instantly the type of personality our child had (curious, inquisitive, busy, sociable) and really made us realise that, although it may have seemed that she didn't need much sleep, she really required much more than she was getting. We made a number of changes, including implementing a much earlier bedtime to help our daughter catch up on the sleep she was losing in the mornings. Gradually, we were able to push it out and she is now sleeping about 7/7:30pm to 6:30/6:40am without any wake-ups and consistently has a 1hr 45min nap during the day! We are also now not afraid to occasionally put her to bed at 6:15/6:30pm when we know she is exhausted and this doesn't impact on her morning wake-up time. We're delighted and very grateful to Lauren for her support!
I was at a complete loss at how to deal with my 15 month old and his sleep problems. We had hourly wakings for milk throughout the night, co-sleeping, very early mornings, inability to self settle, short naps... the whole shebang! I felt I'd lost all control when I got in touch with Lauren. It turned out to be the best decision I've made all year. Within a couple of weeks he was sleeping through and making massive progress on his naps too. Lauren has been absolutely fantastic and everything she has advised has been spot on. She helped me to create the perfect environment for my son to learn to self settle and with Lauren's advice the rest started to slot into place from there. Freddie was nine months when we contacted Lauren, and I wish we'd done it sooner! We'd had months of hourly wakings and huge struggles with re-settling. Exhaustion was starting to impact every part of our daily lives. Every child is different and Lauren completely recognises this and works with you to put plans in place that suit you and your family. At no point during our plan did we ever feel alone. Lauren was always on hand to answer queries and support us with any problems that cropped up. Freddie suffered with bad wind and also had a couple of colds during our sleep plan so our path was not always straight forward. However, Lauren didn't let us lose hope and supported us to give our little boy the love and care he needed while also keeping to our longer term aim of teaching him how to sleep well. Freddie now sleeps through the night, self settles and is a much happier little boy!
We live in Colorado and Lauren was very highly recommended to us by a friend. I wasn't certain anyone could really help us solve our sleep issues as we previously hired a local (well-known) sleep consultant and tried more intense methods to no avail with our now 4 year old daughter (who just started sleeping through the night at 3). I didn't want the same to happen with our 1.5 year old! Lauren has amazingly insightful advice and she delivers it in such a confident yet understanding way. Her emphasis on remaining consistent and strategies around this has been life changing with two kids--not just for sleep but for other areas of discipline and day-to-day struggles as well. Lauren does not adhere to the cry-it-out method either, which was a last resort we tried that didn't work with our first, and was quite painful. Lauren's education and expertise on the topic really shines through on this front as her gentler methods REALLY work much faster and more permanently than cry-it-out ever did for us. She crafted a plan for both of my kids that was unique to their situations and made the process so comfortable and encouraging. Both of our children had very early milestones and sleep has always been a struggle compared to most other kids their age. Before I contacted Lauren, I had given up on my 3 year old and assumed she just didn't need as much sleep as other kids. Lauren has shed so much light on my own children and how lack of sleep was showing up in all sorts of ways. I have also learned so much about children's sleep and sleep cycles - I really wish I had found Lauren as a first-time mom. I am so thankful we called her up, even though we were late in the process. Both are now sleeping through the night (although they are still early risers!). My husband and I are so thankful."
Lauren has been an absolute life-saver (and sanity-saver!). My son had never been a great sleeper and it had gotten to the stage where he would either wake every hour and a half from bedtime until the morning or he would wake at about 11pm-3am every night. The lack of sleep was effecting me mentally and put a massive strain on my relationship. I felt like a zombie as well as a failure as a mother. Thankfully we started using Lauren who has completely turned things around for us, my little boy now sleeps all night and I can put him in his cot awake and he will happily drift off to sleep himself. It didn't happen overnight and has taken dedication and perseverance but Lauren was with us at every step of the way. She is totally against letting them cry it out and the whole process is about what is best for baby and you. I must have been in daily contact with Lauren for the first few weeks and have never felt like I couldn't contact her or that she was ever pushed for time. Everything she advised was explained brilliantly and always made perfect sense as to why we were doing certain things. I know that if we ever have any hiccups in the future I can go back to Lauren and if I ever have a second child I will be booking Lauren in for a call on the due date!! I wish I had gone to Lauren sooner for help, not only did I get sleep back in my life which enabled me to function normally and be me again but she has made me realise I am not a failure as a mother and has given me a lot of confidence in my ability as a first time mum.
I felt completely broken and useless before I spoke to you and it was putting a strain on my relationship. Things are so much better now all thanks to you and I even feel happy enough now to go back to work (but I'm waiting till after the summer as want to enjoy this one unlike last summer)! But most of all my little boy has benefited the most, now he is getting the full amount of sleep he should be and he is blossoming in front of my eyes everyday!

I started to have massive sleep issues with my son after a trip to Canada. With a 5 hour time difference, it created a big disruption to my 20 month old son's routine. There were a number of other complicating factors but what I learned is that you can be a well meaning, loving, intelligent mother and still not do the right thing for your child! After two months or so of being wide awake during the night...every night...for 2 hours, I was starting to breakdown from sleep deprivation. A friend highly recommended Lauren and she was amazing. Of course I did the work and I followed exactly what she said and from the first night of beginning the sleep training, my son slept through the night and each subsequent night. But without her guidance, support and instructions, I would have continued to spiral. I was amazed that we did all the sleep training without my son having to shed a tear. She really did save my life at the time and my only regret was not doing it sooner!
After seeing the success with our eldest even within 1 week, asked for Lauren's help with our 6 month old! We had a wonderful transition from her waking up every 1.5 hours and having 20 min naps in the day to sleeping through the night and having 1.5-2 hour naps, and from her taking an hour or longer to put to sleep, to sleeping within 15 minutes without any help or feeding: all this within 2-3 weeks! Lauren, you gave us back our evenings, our sanity and our marriage: we no longer dread bedtime and know that from 7pm, the night is ours! We will always be so grateful!
Lauren has been a saviour of our sanity. We initially got her help for our (then) 2.5 yr old who was taking upwards of 2 hours to sleep and needed a variety of threats, bribes, cuddles, cries, before she slept. We tried controlled crying, camping out...nothing worked for long. Lauren worked with us to firstly understand what the sleep issues were and then formulated a plan including altering the bedtime routine. We now have a 3 yr old who goes into bed and sleeps within 15 minutes and wakes up over 12 hours later! What I loved about Lauren is the ability to troubleshoot by just dropping an email and the detailed responses we received, as well as the helpful phone calls. She gave me the strength to sleep train and she gave the encouragement we needed.
Lauren's advice and tailored sleep plan worked wonders for our little girl May (now 20 months). May was waking consistently at midnight and staying awake for up to five hours, we were all losing our minds, struggling to manage at work, bickering with each other and our little boy was suffering at school also as it would disturb his sleep. It was also taking us over an hour to get May to bed at night and we were chopping and changing with our approach, unsure what to try for the best. We never thought we would go to a sleep consultant but we are so pleased that we did. Lauren is friendly, approachable, encouraging non-judgemental and probably most importantly firm and consistent with her responses which is extremely reassuring when you are feeling so tired and weary. I'm particularly sensitive to crying so for me I knew I would not be able to go through with controlled crying. Lauren's approach was tailored to the concerns of our family and May's own sleep need. Most importantly she got me and my partner on the same page so we could share things out whilst both being consistent with what we were doing. Knowing what we were supposed to be doing and being able to check in with Lauren if things did not go according to plan or if we were not sure what to do was what got us to this stage. It took some hard work and commitment from us for a very short period of time, but it couldn't have been more worth it, May now puts herself to sleep and settles herself in the night. Most importantly she is a much happier little girl and we are a much happier family as a result. My partner was initially unsure about the need for a consultant has said it is without doubt the best money he has ever spent.
Lauren has gone above and beyond in helping me and my family on our journey to better sleep. She has always been on hand with non pushy and balanced advice and always explains the science/evidence behind it, which not only helps in the current crisis but also to arm you with the skills to tackle challenges in the future. We contacted Lauren when we were at our wit's end. Teddy was 6 months old and we thought we were ready to give him back and get a refund! But we contacted Lauren and I can honestly say she has been amazing. Genuinely caring about us and being there every step of the way. My baby now sleeps 11-12 hours a night and has 3 naps in the day! Which before was completely unheard of. Teddy would wake at least 5-6 times in the night and be rocked, sung, jiggled you name it we did it to sleep. For two whole years I was a walking zombie, until I cracked and enlisted Lauren to help me to work on a plan to increase our toddler's night time and nap time sleeping. Within 3 days she was sleeping through the night and by the end of the week her naps had extended to 2 hours. All this without a single "cry it out" moment. Within a few weeks of working with Lauren our daughter was sleeping though the night and it felt like we were finally getting it right for her and helping her to have the sleep she needed. We hit a bumpy road of holidays, illnesses, vaccines, house moves and anything else we could throw in the mix, but we did get there. Our little girl now loves her cot and puts herself to sleep without tears and sleeps though the night and 2 hours in the day. Not every day is perfect, but we have learnt how to get her back on track quickly. My 7 month old son was waking every two hours for a feed and I was beyond exhausted, and anxiety about my return to my demanding career was mounting quickly! After a terrible night and yet another day of painful naps I had had enough and booked a package with Lauren. Within a week the nights had improved to one, sometimes two wakings and he is now sleeping through the night. Naps continued to be a struggle but Lauren supported us through it all, really going above and beyond, empowering my husband and I to make the right choices for our family and giving us the confidence to stay the course whenever we had a wobble. I cannot recommend Little Sleep Stars more highly. You may think you can't afford a sleep consultant, but I think any tired parent is worth it - I'd have paid four times her fee for a decent night's sleep! It was with some reticence that I contacted Lauren as I thought that I could "fix" my 10 month old's poor sleeping patterns myself. I did try some things but was confused by the huge quantities of sometimes conflicting information I could find online. Our daughter was taking over an hour to go to sleep for naps and sleep time and was very distressed. I wanted a gentle approach and that's what Lauren gave us and now we are all happier. I just wanted to update you, on how well our little is doing which is all thanks to your help and guidance. She is sleeping nearly every night now, all through, and even in those days we don?t manage a good afternoon nap out and about, she rides it out well. The odd off night just needs a kiss and face stroke and she?s fine again. We tend to have two long naps now during the day. She is such a pleasure now, and this is, I feel, because she is sleeping and settling so much better - so thank you again.

Lauren is amazing! When I contacted Lauren my little boy was 6 months and waking every 2 hours in the night to be fed before he would sleep again - he also did not nap in the day unless in the car. After Lauren's help, support, guidance and dedication he now sleeps from 7pm until 6am with only one wake up for a feed as well as having 3 sleeps a day in his cot totally 3 hours. Lauren's method's really work and are soft and gentle (I am against 'crying it out'. ) Lauren also helped me plan my bed time routing with two young children, something I was struggling with. Lauren is helpful and friendly and you do not feel as though she is judging you- I believe Lauren went over and above what she needed to do to help me. Lauren is very knowledgeable and really does love her job - I wish I'd contacted her sooner than I did. I now have one final hurdle to cross which is drop my son's final night feed and I know Lauren will be there to help if I need it.
Lauren has been absolutely fab to work with and totally transformed the sleeping habits of our little one! Now 7 months old, she has gone from waking up every hour or two to sleeping 7am-7pm with one feed at 3am. We travel quite a bit so sometimes her routine gets thrown off, but Lauren has equipped us with a toolbox of things to try when/if things go off track. More than anything, we know at least what we are aiming for (and that she can do it!), whereas before we had no idea and were totally fishing in the dark. Lauren made such a simple suggestion for us to try with our little boy that I wasn't sure it was going to work. After three days he was sleeping in later and so much more content, it's dramatically improved his behaviour in the day too! I would definitely recommend Lauren to anyone struggling.
We turned to using a sleep consultant when our 4 month old went from sleeping through to waking almost every 45 minutes a night, fighting naps - which made her very grumpy all the time . It was becoming unbearable and tough on our family. I researched sleep training and those that offered help, and thought Lauren looked like someone who would fit our family. She offered a free 15 minute consultation initially and even during that call lots of advice was offered, I didn't hesitate to contact her again when things weren't working. She spent a long time getting to know our little girl and her temperament, and offered solutions that fitted our routine and family, and she wasn't judgemental about what habits we had already gotten into! Each step of the way Lauren was on hand for our regular phone calls, and equally as helpful with emails, which offered reassurance and more help - and those times I felt things were going backwards, she was calm, patient and explained what is happening with development leaps and sleep progressions! Our little girl now has no dummy, self settles and importantly re-settles herself to sleep and we feel confident in her sleep skills. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Lauren or recommend her services.
I can honestly say that contacting Lauren at Little Sleep Stars was the best decision. We had a 10 month old who had never slept super well and in order for us all to get more sleep she had migrated into our bed. This wasn't sustainable and we needed help. Lauren simply understood what we were going through, made us a simple plan to follow and was there to support us every step of the way. Well, what can I say...the sleep training experience with Lauren has been amazing and has really changed our family life for the better. Our daughter Mila was 20 weeks old when we began the process. I had got to a point where I could not cope with hourly or 2 hourly wake ups every night (having to feed her back to sleep) and Mila not napping in the day, despite being tired. Lauren has been very supportive throughout the whole process, via phone and email. She has helped me on many occasions through email when I have had many questions. The process took just under 2 weeks for Mila. She went from waking hourly to sleeping through the night and having 3 naps in the day. We cannot believe how quickly this happened. Mila responded extremely well to the whole process. We now feel more human as we are all getting more sleep and Mila is a much happier little girl, as she is well rested. We will continue to follow the same process as we move Mila to her own room at 6 months old. Thank you Lauren for all of your support and reassurance. I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough, she genuinely wants to help families get the sleep they need!
"I don't want to sleep like a baby, I just want to sleep like my husband!". That's exactly how I felt for almost a year! Until I decided to contact Little Sleep Stars. My husband was so pessimistic and even laughed at me. Oh well, who's laughing now?! I contacted Lauren and we started the ball rolling straight away. The problem was that under no circumstances would my son sleep in the crib! Every time I'd tried putting him in the crib, he would scream, cry, shake and on occasions vomit. On the first night of the sleep training George slept in his crib, in his room and woke up only once. By the end of the week I would put George to bed, say goodnight and leave! And guess what? I wouldn't hear a sound from him, and he would be asleep within 30 minutes! My husband and I were asking ourselves the other day why haven't we done this earlier?! So, a massive, massive thank you Little Sleep Stars!
Lauren is so calm and reassuring - when you're pulling your hair out and feeling delirious from sleep deprivation, she's exactly the person you need to tell you that it's all going to be ok, your child is normal, you're doing a good job, and to then help you find a way forward. When we started working with Lauren, we were in the third month of Ollie not sleeping for more than 45 minutes, day or night. I was threatening to pack a bag a leave because I just couldn't cope, and I ended up with a referral for maternal depression - that's how bad the sleep deprivation was. My partner had come down with shingles from the stress, and our little boy was just so unhappy. It took a couple of days of working with the plan Lauren created for us before Ollie realised something was going on, and within a couple of weeks he was getting the hang of it - within a month we were putting him to bed at 7pm and he was sleeping through until 6.30am. Happy mummies, happy baby!
I am so grateful to Lauren for the work she has done with us. We are a million miles away today from where we started off. I was sceptical about the process (as I am sure a lot of parents are), and I genuinely thought there is no hope for sleep for us as my son is 2.5 years old and I thought we were too late for any sleep training. But Lauren has been absolutely brilliant and understanding and patient and very professional. It sounds silly, but I never thought my son is capable of falling asleep by himself, and now I can see that he is happier and healthier, having learnt this skill, and so are we, of course. I was at the end of my tether when I decided to call Lauren, I really didn't think anything was going to help Isabella, but was desperate. I had tried sleep training myself and it just wasn't working. Lauren has been so supportive and is always there for a call or email. Isabella has gone from not sleeping at night with me lying next to the cot, to going to bed awake, going to sleep by herself and sleeping through all night. Her naps have also improved, she has gone from an hour a day to up to 3 hours. I cant recommend Lauren enough, she has really helped our family. Thanks Lauren!
Why didn't I contact Lauren sooner?! We have a 17 month old who has never been a sleeper. He was waking up multiple times in the night and early rising was the norm. I contacted Lauren in desperation and I'm so glad I did. She helped us ditch the dummy and guided us and supported us in implementing a bespoke sleep plan. Our little boy now rarely wakes in the night and when he does he is self settling with very little fuss. We have managed to stretch the mornings out until 6am and beyond and he is having a good 2.5/3 hour nap during the day. It hasn't been easy and he has proved to be very challenging but Lauren was always available to help through the difficult times. I have learned so much about sleep from Lauren, much of which is very counter intuitive. If we have a second child I will be in touch with Lauren very early on as I now know that sleep deprivation is avoidable. Thank you Lauren!
If you are debating which sleep consultant to use or whether you should go down that road at all then Lauren is the person you should contact! I wish I had contacted to her sooner! My little boy was 7 months and waking up every hour for months. I was slowly losing my sanity when I approached Lauren for help. She was there every step of the way and was the support system I needed to go through with the sleep training. My little one now sleeps so much better with few night feeds that I will drop soon, but her help has enabled me to get enough sleep to go back to work! Never thought I'd say this but our son is almost three and he goes to bed by himself! Lauren was incredibly compassionate and understanding but also no nonsense. We went from feeding to sleep on every single nap, bedtime and throughout the night, co-sleeping and waking every 30 minutes to an hour, and with Lauren's help and support our little girl is now in her own room, self settles and doesn't feed through the night...at all! I'm still amazed at how we got to this point. She sleeps from 6.30/7pm until 6am and normally only wakes once or twice with a very easy settle. Lauren has been extremely patient with me as she understood I wanted a very slow gentle approach and has continued to be there whenever I needed her. Lauren we can't thank you enough, you went above and beyond to help us.
After really struggling with my 3 year old's sleep issues, I contacted Lauren for help. I was feeling so tired and frustrated with the situation (mentally and physically exhausted, struggling to cope, running out of ideas), especially because my daughter had always been such a good sleeper. Lauren has helped us so much with our 15 month old little boy. We've gone from feeding to almost asleep, co-sleeping, night-waking once or twice every night to going to sleep on his own, in his own bed and sleeping through for the best part of 12 hours! Self-settling to sleep is still a work in progress but we know we have the help and support we need, when we need it.
